Marco has got an Engineering background and he joined Pirelli Head Quarter in 1988.
From 1993 to 1997 he was appointed Technical and then Representative Director of Pirelli KK office in Japan. Back to Pirelli HQ, from 1997 Marco covered a wide range of responsibilities across Innovation, Technology & Product development, through EU Funding, Universities programs, Technical Government Regulations & Industry Standards and Type Approval, leading the Innovation and Knowledge Management system.
During Pirelli’s divestiture of their Commercial tyres division, Marco coordinated the technology transfer & support to ChemChina CNRC Tyre Affiliates’ Prometeon and Aeolus.
Marco is also deeply involved in other Associations, serving in different roles: ETRTO Executive Committee Chair, ETRMA Digital Mobility Group member, UNECE WP29 as Tyre Industry representative, UNI President, CUNA Vice-President, TRA Foreign Member Representative, ANFIA  representative in CONFINDUSTRIA, WBCSD TIP Tire Industry Project TIP Pirelli CEO representative, EuChinaChamberCommerce – AutoComponents WG Liaison Delegate.
